Across Utah, that generosity was on full display as the Chartway Promise Foundation brought together community partners, donors, volunteers, and supporters for a week dedicated to creating joy, hope, and lasting memories for medically fragile children and their families.

From celebrating life-changing wishes to raising funds that will help even more children experience moments of happiness during difficult journeys, every event served as a reminder of what can happen when a community comes together with a shared purpose.

For the Chartway Promise Foundation, the week was about more thanthan fundraising. It was about the children whose courage inspires us every day.

Celebrating 15 Years of Wishes

The week began in Murray, Utah, where the Foundation joined Make-A-Wish Utah to celebrate a partnership that has transformed hundreds of lives over the past 15 years.

As the organization's largest corporate donor, the Chartway Promise Foundation has provided $3 million in grants and helped fund 500 wishes for children across Utah since 2010.

During the celebration, Promise Hero Jaxon, whose wish was granted in 2023, presented the Foundation with a special "500 Wishes Award." The recognition symbolized hundreds of children who experienced hope during challenging times and families who found moments of joy when they needed them most.

The event also unveiled the new Chartway Arcade Zone at Make-A-Wish Utah's Wishing Place. Designed to provide children with a welcoming space to play, laugh, and simply be kids, the arcade offers an opportunity for wish recipients to focus on fun rather than medical appointments and treatments.

For many families, those moments matter more than words can express.

A Community Rallying Around Promise Heroes

The week continued with the Foundation's 10th annual Putting for Promises golf tournament at Stonebridge Golf Club in West Valley.

Golfers, sponsors, volunteers, charity partners, Promise Heroes, and their families gathered for a day of connection and purpose. While the tournament raised important funds to support the Foundation's mission, it also highlighted the powerful network of people who make that mission possible year after year.

Later that evening, one special family took center stage.

Eleven-year-old Corbin, who lives with congenital heart disease, joined Chartway team members and supporters at TopGolf in Salt Lake City. There, he shared his dream of taking an Alaskan fishing trip with his family -- a wish that could soon become reality through the Foundation's partnership with Make-A-Wish Utah.

His excitement filled the room and served as a reminder that hope often starts with something simple: having something wonderful to look forward to.

An Evening to Remember

The week culminated at Chartway Promise Foundation second annual Night for Joy fundraising event at the Ken Garff University Club.

With a football-themed "Touchdowns & Triumphs" celebration, the sold-out event welcomed a record number of supporters for an evening filled with food, entertainment, auctions, raffles, and stories of impact.

But the most memorable moment came when 18-year-old Promise Hero Sam received a surprise he will never forget.

Sam, who lives with congenital heart disease and has long been a devoted Philadelphia Eagles fan, learned that he will soon have the opportunity to meet his favorite NFL team.

The announcement was delivered by our special guest, Utah football and NFL legend Luther Elliss, whose connection to Sam's journey made the moment even more meaningful.

As a father of a son with the same heart condition, Elliss understands firsthand the challenges families face and the importance of creating moments of joy that can carry them through difficult days.

For Sam and his family, the surprise represented the fulfillment of a lifelong dream and an opportunity to create memories together that will last forever.

Turning Compassion Into Action

Behind every wish granted, every smile shared, and every celebration held throughout the week is a community of people committed to making a difference.

From donors and volunteers to charity partners and supporters, their generosity helps the Chartway Promise Foundation continue its mission of bringing joy, hope, and smiles to medically fragile children and their families.
