Chartway Credit Union has been named honoree of The Civic 50 Hampton Roads by VOLUNTEER Hampton Roads and Points of Light, the world’s largest organization dedicated to volunteer service. This award acknowledges Chartway as one of the most community-minded companies in Hampton Roads, determined by an independently administered and scored survey. The Civic 50 Hampton Roads initiative, modeled after Points of Light’s national program, provides a standard for superior corporate citizenship and showcases how companies can use their time, talent, skills and resources to drive social impact in their company and communities.

“We value community because the people we serve and the places they live are all connected and thrive together – it’s one of our core values,” said Brian Schools, Chartway Credit Union president and CEO. “I’m grateful VOLUNTEER Hampton Roads and Points of Light selected Chartway for this honor. We are in esteemed company, and this recognition reminds us to remain steadfast in serving our members, our communities and each other.”
