Virginia Beach, VA - March 4, 2024

In a heartwarming display of community, Chartway and its philanthropic arm, the Chartway Promise Foundation, have proudly revealed the outcome of their month-long endeavor, the "Give with All Your Heart" campaign. Through the collective efforts of Chartway members and the public, $5,000 was raised in this inaugural campaign.  In addition to fundraising, the Foundation provided two wish reveals, sent hundreds of Promise Hearts with encouraging words and toy activity bags to local children’s hospitals.

The campaign was celebrated at the Promise Night at Chartway Arena, where partners, supporters, and dozens of Promise Heroes converged to honor the spirit of giving. Cayden, who battles congenital heart disease, learned his dream to explore Legoland in Florida became a reality during a wish reveal at the Chartway-sponsored men's basketball game held at Old Dominion University. Sheri Lambert, president and CEO of Make-A-Wish Greater Virginia, emphasized the enduring impact of wish fulfillment, highlighting its ability to instill courage and resilience in children facing critical illnesses.

Christine Wilson, president of the Chartway Promise Foundation, expressed profound gratitude, stating, "We are thrilled to bring joy, hope, and smiles to those who need it most." The campaign not only fulfilled Cayden's dream but also helped to grant the  wish of Joshua, a young boy who underwent a life-saving kidney transplant at just 18 months old. Through the partnership with Make-A-Wish Greater Virginia, Joshua's dream of experiencing the magic of Disney and its beloved characters became a reality, igniting boundless excitement and gratitude.

Though the "Give with All Your Heart" campaign has drawn to a close, the spirit of generosity continues to thrive. Community members are encouraged to contribute through various channels, ensuring that the beacon of hope remains alight for those in need. Donations can be made through Chartway branches, digital banking, or the Chartway Promise Foundation's website.
