Altogether, six organizations were recognized – including Chartway Federal Credit Union’s We Promise Foundation, which was named the “Outstanding Foundation / Corporation” during its 2017 award program.
The We Promise Foundation received the award in recognition of the life-changing experiences the foundation provides that bring joy, hope, and smiles to children facing medical hardship or illness. “We’re humbled and honored to accept this recognition for the work we do on behalf of children facing medical challenges throughout our communities,” said Karen Lane, executive director of the We Promise Foundation. “Of course, none of this would be possible without our companion charities, sponsors, and contributors – along with the help of our indispensable volunteers. This award is really about them, as well.”
