Lehi, UT (May 9, 2018) – With a goal to make dreams and wishes come to life for children facing medical hardship or illness, Chartway Federal Credit Union’s We Promise Foundation recently invited supporters to tee up for a day on the links at its 3rd Annual Putting for Promises Golf Tournament. Thanks to the generosity of its sponsors, the event raised more than $53,000 for children in Utah communities.

The tournament took place in Lehi, Utah, at Thanksgiving Point Golf Course – a 7,714 yard course that covers over 200 acres of land, making it the largest course in Utah. Golfers and guests were joined by several We Promise Heroes – children who have had their wish granted through our partnership with Make-A-Wish Utah. We Promise heroes arrived by limousine and received cheers and high-fives from sponsors and volunteers. They also had the opportunity to cruise around the course on golf carts – learning from tournament participants how to hold an iron and sink a putt.

“Our 3rd Annual Putting for Promises Golf Tournament” gave people an opportunity to tee-up and chip-in to ensure that every eligible child right here in Utah can experience the transformative power of a wish,” said We Promise Foundation President and Community Involvement Executive, Phil Richards.

Chartway’s We Promise Foundation has proudly given back to the communities in Utah since 2010, providing more than $1.6 million in support of Utah-based organizations, including Make-A-Wish Utah and Ability Found. Altogether, the We Promise Foundation has raised more than $10,000,000 to provide life-changing experiences that bring joy, hope, and smiles to children facing medical hardship or illness.

“We’re very appreciative for the continued support of Chartway’s We Promise Foundation” said Make-A-Wish Utah President & CEO, Jared Perry. “We’re granting a wish to children who have a life-threatening medical condition every other day and to know that we have a partner in the We Promise Foundation is absolutely amazing. We thank you for everything you do for our state and Make-A-Wish Utah.”
