Virginia Beach, VA (February 23, 2022) – Chartway is dedicated to unlocking the potential of individuals and families so they can thrive. That’s why the credit union looks forward to helping young savers learn how to fulfill their financial dreams during National Credit Union Youth Month.
Between March 1 and April 30, 2022, Chartway will be encouraging youth members to make savings deposits for an opportunity to win prizes. Members under 18 years old who open a new savings account or increase the balance of a current account by making ten deposits between March 1 and April 30 will be eligible to win a $25 gift card. Youth members should ask a Chartway team member for a loyalty card during their next visit and request a stamp each time a deposit is made – no specific deposit amount is required for eligibility. Each Chartway branch will announce one winner on May 1, 2022.
“This year’s theme for National Credit Union Youth Month is “Save Small. Dream Big. at your credit union,” said Elizabeth Short, senior vice president of marketing. “Dreaming big doesn’t need to start with big actions. The first small step is usually the hardest, but it can propel kids forward with a solid foundation for smart saving and spending habits.”
Chartway will also be celebrating the month-long event with an engaging and educational social media campaign and online at Chartway.com/student-accounts where members can find age appropriate financial literacy resources.
