Retirement Distribution Planner
The Retirement Distribution Planner allows you to figure out how much to save for your retirement and how much to withdraw if you want to make your savings last.

You will find that the planner allows you to solve for the following variables:

Value of Portfolio  The nest egg you have accumulated. Click the 'Value of Portfolio' button if you want to solve for this variable. You may vary the other variables to answer the question 'How much should I save before I retire to be able to withdraw $10,000 every year?'
Years in Retirement  The number of years you expect to be withdrawing from your nest egg while in retirement. If you want to solve for this variable, click the button marked 'Years in Retirement'. Questions such as 'How many years will the $50,000 nest egg last if I withdraw $10,000 every year?' can be answered by modifying the other variables.
Return (After tax)  The after-tax returns your nest egg will yield. Click the button labelled 'Return(After-tax)' to answer questions such as 'How much does my nest egg of $50,000 have to earn annually for me to withdraw at least $5,000 every year for 10 years?'
Estimated Inflation  The inflation rate you expect during your retirement. This inflation rate will reduce the amount you will have available the first year in order to accommodate inflation adjusted withdrawals in later years. Note: You cannot solve for (put a red check mark on) estimated inflation.
Annual Withdrawal  The amount you may withdraw from your nest egg at the beginning of each year. To answer questions such as 'How much can I withdraw from a nest egg of $100,000 if I think I will live 20 years in retirement?' click the button labelled 'Annual Withdrawal'.
