Collections Manager

Description:
Responsible to the V.P. Finance for the management of all aspects of collections, legal activity, and the day-to-day operation of the Collection Department. Areas of responsibility include delinquent accounts, charge-offs, bankruptcies, repossessions, recoveries, legal processing, fraud, and foreclosures while complying with regulations and policy. The Collections Manager interfaces with attorneys, conducts vendor selection processes, manages vendor relationships, and implements/monitors outsourcing of collection activities. Manager statistically determines staffing needs, directs performance measurements, develops and implements collection procedures to coincide with the changing needs of the business, and proposes solutions to streamline business processes.
Bachelors degree required, and 3-5 years in collections management role or equivalent experience. The qualified candidate will have the ability to effectively manage all aspects of collections and legal processing in a fast paced environment. Strong verbal and written communication skills required for interfacing with and negotiating complex issues with attorneys, vendors, senior management, and peer group management. Strong leadership skills to ensure that full staffing, consistent remote monitoring, thorough queue audits, adequate training, and staff development needs are met. Knowledgeable in the coordination, tracking and reporting of delinquency and performance data for the V.P. of Finance. Exceptional judgment in offering customer service to members, adhering to policy, complying with Fair Debt Collection Practices Act and other applicable regs, while protecting the credit union assets by identifying opportunities to reduce losses. Ability to audit and decision on bankruptcies, legal action, and repossessions, to ensure the timely liquidation of assets and mitigate losses for the credit union. Strong knowledge and experience with effective collections on delinquent accounts, charge-offs, bankruptcies, repossessions, recoveries, legal processing, fraud, foreclosures, insurance, and dealer direct lending programs.

Senior Information Systems Engineer

The Senior Information Systems Engineer is responsible for translating the vision and direction for the Credit Union’s technology infrastructure. This position will manage and develop these technologies to ensure the Credit Union’s Information System (IS) resources are parallel with the Credit Union’s planned growth. This position will be responsible for maximizing the system capabilities and maintaining successful system availability.
Qualifications include a Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering or a related field. MCSE / CCNA Certifications preferred. Experience with enterprise workstation imaging and remote application deployment utilizing Zen Works or Microsoft SMS. The successful candidate will have 10+ years of relevant experience. Candidates with programming/scripting interest and experience are preferred.
Broad knowledge of industry standard platforms is desirable, including Windows client and server operating systems, Active Directory, Exchange, SQL Server, Compaq/HP servers, Dell servers and desktops, and Cisco internetworking, including CallManager telephony systems. Experience with virtualization. VMWare ESX experience preferred. Familiarity with SMTP, DNS, load balancing, caching and intrusion detection.Experienced in common IS technologies -- such as networking, DNS, anti-virus, anti-spam, SMTP, asset management, telephony, and VPNs are critical. Experience installing, monitoring and maintaining the health of a Windows 2003 Server and Active Directory-based network, especially in a 450+ user distributed environment. Demonstrated ability to perform full-life cycle activities to include requirements analysis, functional decomposition/allocation, development of interface documentation, test plans, test procedures, trade studies. Demonstrated ability to troubleshoot errors and determine their source (OS, hardware, software, etc.) Ability to repair problems or to quickly manage their resolution via third-party expertise.
