Prepare for Interview
- Research the company by taking a look at their website
- Make a list of questions to ask the interviewer
- Dress professionally in business attire
- Arrive fifteen minutes early for interview, never late
During Interview
- Give the interviewer your full attention and maintain eye contact with them
- Be prepared to discuss your previous employment history, and focus on your accomplishments rather than the negative aspects of the jobs
- Be able to discuss your career goals and how this position and the company would fit into those
- Express your understanding of the position that you are applying for and why you think that you are qualified for the position
Things to say at the end of the interview
- Review your strong points
- Let the interviewer know why you are the right person for the position
What to do after an interview
- Send the interviewer a thank you note as soon as possible expressing your interest in the position and a brief summary of your qualifications.
