Chartway Federal Credit Union and Farm Fresh Supermarkets united on Monday to celebrate the Grand Opening of the newest Chartway branch located at 1615 General Booth Boulevard in Virginia Beach, inside the Farm Fresh store. Following the ribbon-cutting ceremony, the winner of a 3-Minute Shopping Spree, Tara Harris of Virginia Beach, filled a cart with over $500 in groceries.
“I am in this store every week,” stated Ms. Harris, “I was excited and surprised, I never win anything!” Her name was picked from several hundred entries of shoppers who filled out a form and dropped it in a box at the new Chartway branch.
Other event attendees included Lou Gull, Chairman of the Board of Chartway, Chartway President and CEO, Ron Burniske, and Ron Dennis, President and COO of Farm Fresh Supermarkets.
“Chartway’s partnership with Farm Fresh allows both our companies to enhance our convenience and value to the local community,” stated Chartway President and CEO Ron Burniske, “After all, people helping people is the mission of Chartway.”
Chartway’s in-store branch provides a customer-friendly design that allows Farm Fresh shoppers to quickly and easily perform all of their financial business while shopping for groceries. The branch features a full-service office where customers can apply for membership, acquire savings, deposit, and investment products, as well as apply for loans. The store offers a surcharge-free ATM for Chartway members. The branch will be open for business from 10:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m. (Monday through Friday), and from 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. on Saturdays.
Chartway is also open 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, at www.chartway.com.
